AMARAVATI – Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has lauded the passage of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha, granting statutory recognition to Amaravati as the state's sole and permanent capital.

Calling it a "moment of honour," Naidu stated that the Bill ends years of uncertainty and recognizes the sacrifices of local farmers. The move officially reinstates the "One State, One Capital" policy, overturning the previous regime's decentralized capital plan.
