New Delhi | January 10, 2026 — Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has achieved a major operational milestone after its Crisis Management Team (CMT) successfully capped Well Mori 05 in a record time of only five days. This performance is considered extremely rare in global blowout control operations.

The operation was executed under highly challenging field conditions and demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, strong coordination, and disciplined execution. The success was led by G. Shrihari, Head of the Crisis Management Team, with continuous support from the Rajahmundry operational team and strategic guidance from Vikram Saxena, Director (Technology & Field Services).
