KPI Green Energy Commissions Phase 1 of 250 MW GUVNL Project Early

SURAT / KHAVDA – KPI Green Energy Limited has achieved a significant operational milestone by successfully commissioning the first phase of its 250 MW AC (350 MW DC) solar power project in Gujarat. The initial capacity of 24.2 MW AC (34.4 MW DC) was connected to the grid on January 23, 2026, well ahead of the project’s contractual deadline of October 2026.

This project was awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) in March 2024 through a competitive bidding process (Phase-XXIV).

Financial Excellence: Record-Breaking Q3 FY26

The commissioning comes just two days after KPI Green reported stellar financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2025. The company has maintained a "highest-ever revenue" streak for seven consecutive quarters.

Project Execution and Order Pipeline

The early commissioning of the GUVNL phase is a testament to KPI Green's "disciplined execution" strategy. The company is currently managing a massive renewable energy pipeline:

  • Current Operational Capacity: Exceeds 1.12 GW.
  • Khavda Mega Project: A major portion of the current 250 MW project is located at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Kutch, the world’s largest hybrid energy park.
  • New Order Wins: The company recently secured a massive 534 MW solar project order from Adani Green and a 445 MW / 890 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project from GUVNL.

Strategic Vision: "10 GW by 2030"

Under the leadership of Dr. Faruk G. Patel, KPI Green Energy is aggressively expanding its footprint to reach a 10 GW portfolio by 2030. To fund this growth, the company recently received a ₹3,200 crore sanction from State Bank of India (SBI), one of the largest credit facilities ever extended to the KP Group.

"Our early commissioning of the GUVNL phase reflects our technical expertise and commitment to India's 2030 Net Zero goals. We are not just building plants; we are building a sustainable future for Bharat." — Dr. Faruk G. Patel, CMD, KP Group.
