NTPC WR-I Commits ₹7.64 Crore to Revamp N.M. Wadia Hospital, Solapur

SOLAPUR — NTPC Western Region–I has launched a major Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to modernize the N.M. Wadia Hospital in Solapur. With a total outlay of ₹7.64 crore, the project focuses on the comprehensive renovation of the hospital’s inpatient (IPD) infrastructure to serve the local community and residents near the NTPC Solapur Project.
Key Highlights:
- Scope of Work: The project includes extensive civil repairs and structural renovation of IPD Blocks A, B, and the Annex Building.
- Modern Upgrades: Enhancements feature electrical overhauls, the installation of new stretcher lifts, and essential infrastructure upgrades to improve patient mobility and care.
- Regional Impact: The revival of these blocks is designed to provide high-quality medical facilities not only for Solapur city but also for villagers in surrounding rural areas who rely on the hospital for emergency and specialized treatment.
- Official Agreement: The initiative follows a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between NTPC WR-I HQs and the hospital management, streamlining the execution of these critical healthcare works.
Shri E. Satya Phani Kumar, Regional Executive Director (West-I), emphasized that the initiative is a key pillar of NTPC's commitment to sustainable community development and strengthening public healthcare systems.
