NTPC Invites Bids for High-Capacity Transformer Project at Anta Gas Power Station

NEW DELHI – India’s leading power utility, NTPC Limited, has issued a domestic tender for the supply and installation of a specialized Steam Turbine Generator (STG) Transformer at its Anta facility. The contract is a comprehensive "Works Contract," encompassing the entire lifecycle of the equipment from manufacturing to final commissioning.
Project Specifications
The procurement focuses on a high-capacity 15.75/230 KV, 195 MVA transformer. The scope of work includes:
Manufacturing and Testing: Quality assurance and factory testing before dispatch.
Logistics: Transportation to the NTPC Anta Gas Power Station.
Site Execution: Complete erection, testing, and commissioning at the project site.
Eligibility and "Make in India" Focus
In line with the Government of India’s "Make in India" initiative, this tender is restricted to Class-I local suppliers. To qualify, bidders must ensure their products contain a minimum of 60% local content.
Technical and financial requirements for bidders include:
Technical Experience: Proven track record in supplying and installing 220 KV or higher class transformers.
Financial Standing: A minimum average annual turnover of ₹7.74 Crores.
Security: An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹50 Lakhs is required via online payment or e-Bank Guarantee.

Pre-bid Meeting: January 6, 2026 (to be held virtually via Microsoft Teams).
Bid Submission Deadline: January 16, 2026.
Technical Bid Opening: January 19, 2026.
